Emergency Fuel Management Prepares for the 2015 Hurricane Season

13-May-2015 The Emergency Fuel Management division of Macro Companies held a three day training seminar this week as we prepare for the upcoming hurricane season. Past and current part-time employees and logistics managers were invited to review best practices and safety guidelines for recovery work in the field. Our extensive leadership and logistical staff were on hand to facilitate the training sessions and discuss the requirements for our vast customer base.

We will also be holding several driving training days in the weeks to come. These sessions are open to any CDL qualified drivers who are interested in joining our team during storm events. The training sessions will review safety guidelines, customer requirements and hands-on training with our fuel trucks. Dates and times for these sessions will be available soon.

The upcoming hurricane season is forecast to be below normal in activity but that does not guarantee a true "quiet" season. As we have seen in the past, it only takes one storm to make any season significant. Everyone in the hurricane zones should always be prepared during the season should a storm threaten your area.
